Southern Red Oak x Willow Oak (Quercus ludoviciana)

This is a medium sized tree that thrives in well drained soils and prefers full sun to partial shade, though it is able to tolerate a wider range of conditions. It contains a high tolerance for poor conditions and can be found in environments including both bottomlands and dry uplands. 
 
It prefers sandy, loam, or clay soils and does require a significant amount of space to accommodate for its large root system and branches.
