Pin Oak (Quercus palustris)

The pin oak stands out amongst many other types of oak trees. It has a distinctive branching pattern that sets it apart from others. Homeowners and cities like this tree for it's dense shade, tolerance of many types of soil conditions, soil compaction, and air pollution. This is a relatively fast growing tree that is found throughout parks, yards, and along city streets. This tree can range from60'-70' tall at maturity.
