Dunstan Chestnut (Castanea dentata x Mollisima)

Dustan Chestnuts are a widely planted tree combining the excellence of nut quality and chestnut blight resistance. They can produce heavy yearly crops of very large sweet-tasting nuts in as little as 3-5 years. Nuts on average produce 15-35 per pound.  For best results plant two or more trees for proper pollination in full sun in sandy, loamy, or well drained and somewhat acidic soil. These trees are anywhere from 1-6' depending on the gallon size requested.
